About Jarvia

Jarvia is a highly skilled and dedicated Osteopath whose ethos is motivated by positive patient outcomes. She has worked at Holistic Health since 2008 and has over 16 years extensive experience in healthcare. Her professional ideology is underpinned by traditional osteopathic philosophy and principles, complemented by current research into Best Practice.

Jarvia graduated with Distinction from the British School of Osteopathy, the renowned international leading institute for osteopathic education and research. Her 2 year (undergraduate) research explored the osteopathic treatment and management of Pregnancy Related Pelvic Pain (PRPP) compared with standard care within the UK. She enjoys treating patients of all ages and for a wide variety of conditions. She treats new/acute injuries as well as chronic problems. Many of her patients seek treatment to improve their recovery from injury or to maintain good health and function.

Jarvia is committed to Evidence Based Practice and belongs to a group of osteopaths supervised by Professor Lederman who review emerging/current research and how best to apply this within a therapeutic setting.

Her skills in peri-natal care of expectant and new mothers developed further with a Postgraduate Diploma in Obstetric Osteopathy.

Jarvia's interest in Acupuncture developed from her desire to provide additional pain management therapy for her patients. She trained with the British Medical Acupuncture Society.

Jarvia’s interest and training in NMR developed following her Postgraduate Diploma in Proprioceptive Medicine.

Jarvia is a registered Osteopath and Diagnostic Radiographer.

She is a member of: The General Osteopathic Council, The Health Professions Council and The British Osteopathic Association.

She is a recognised specialist with most major insurance companies.

Her career as a diagnostic radiographer has afforded her vast experience working within both NHS and private medicine. As a diagnostic radiographer she has worked extensively in: Neuro Orthopaedic and Orthopaedic Surgery, Accident&Emergency, Intensive Therapy Unit (adults and paediatric), Pain Management, Outpatients and Forensic work. She has first hand experience of current UK diagnostic and surgical practice, procedures and protocols. She practices as a Diagnostic Radiographer with the HCA International Hospital group and teaches with Anaesthetists on International Pain Neuromodulation Symposiums.

Jarvia has been a student of Zen Master, Thich Nhat Hanh since 2002 and has been commited to a regular practice of meditation- incuding regular Vipassana retreats- and yoga since 1998. She is also a keen cyclist and snowboarder.
